Magha Puja Day falls on the full moon of the third lunar month, somewhere toward the end of February. Magha is the name of a month in the lunar calendar used in ancient India. The word “Puja” means worship. So, Magha Puja means the worship in the month of Magha.

Evening chanting, meditation, taking of the precepts and a Dhamma talk will take place at the Wat from 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
Asalha Puja – falls on the full moon of the eighth lunar month (July) and is also very important. It was on this day that the Lord Buddha preached His sermon to followers after attaining enlightenment. The day is usually celebrated by merit-making, listening to a monk’s sermon, and joining a candle lit procession during the night.

Wat Pah's Lunar Observance Day
Evening chanting, meditation, taking of the precepts and a Dhamma talk will take place at the Wat from 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
This Dhamma practices will have every Wednesday. Chanting begins at 6 pm followed by a period of silent meditation and a Dhamma talk given by a senior monk.
