Sart Thai Day is a time to remember those relatives with prayers\, Buddhist rituals\, and merit making on their behalf. A specialty during the Sart Day festival is Krayasart which is a sweet dessert\, prepared from rice\, peanuts\, sesame seeds and sugar or honey. Usually\, on this day\, The people offer Krayasart to the monks in the temple andalso offer the sweet to their relatives\, friends\, and neighbors as a sign of respect.\nWat Pasantidhamma provides the opportunity for you to come and join the ceremony Sart Thai Day with the following schedule. \nSchedule \nSaturday\, September 27\, 2025 \n09.00 a.m. Praying\, morning chanting\, collecting name setting pictures (Those who passed away) in order to requite devotion\, The charity went to the Sala Ruam Jai Hall 10.00 a.m. The setting up of the Money tree donation staff. 13.30 a.m. Krayasart Thai traditional desert making ceremony. 17.00 p.m. Evening chanting\, listening to Dharma talks and discussions. \nSunday\, September 28\, 2025 \n06.00 a.m. Morning Chanting\n07.00 a.m. Breakfast served to the monks\n09.00 a.m. Open a shop selling food crops vegetables fruits and souvenirs.\n09.00 a.m. Start making merit\, Pay homage to Luang Pho Thong and more activities.\n10.00 a.m. The merit making ceremony for fruit lottery.\n– Chairman of the ceremony light the incense\, candles\, pay homage to the Triple Gem\n– Request for the Five Precepts/ Memorial services/the monks chant ceremony\n10:30 a.m. Pindapata dana (offering food to monks)\n11:00 a.m. Lunch served to the monks\n11:30 a.m. Lunch for congregation\n12:30 a.m. Listen to the sermons\, in Thai version by The Abbot\n– Conducting a ceremony to present the fruit lottery to 6 monks\n– The monks blessing to all participants\n– Ceremony closed\nTherefore\, you are all be cordially invited to join the special occasion of Start Thai Day ceremony at our Wat Pasantidhamma\, VA USA.
